Friday

Today I got to sleep in and crawled out of bed around 10:45, even though I barely slept. There was too much on my mind. We got out of bed at that time because the primary school in the building next to ours the kids went out for recess and they don't stop yelling or screaming outside. One kid today even banged on our window a couple times. Little rats. The teacher told them to be careful on the steps because they were "snowy and icy." Brittany, Jeni, Alyssa and I walked to ISH to eat lunch.  It was snowing, and it wasn't really too slippery. Jeni said that she saw that Birkbeck had cancelled classes today, which we all laughed at because there wasn't even half an inch of snow on the ground. It's just so funny. One of my professor's (or tutors as they call them here) told us that the city will shut down with little snow, which is absurd. After lunch we walked in the snow to Camden Town. There were many cute shops and there was a market going on.  We looked around and since I forgot to bring a hat or anything here, I found a really cute headband to keep my ears warm.  After looking in some shops and at the market, we went to the Odeon Theater and saw the film Les Miserables. It was alright. I didn't like that there wasn't much spoken word in it, and I found it a bit hard to understand what they were saying some times while they were singing. I also thought the film dragged on. I don't have patience for long movies, especially if I'm confined to sitting in a chair in a theater with no breaks that I can take and pause the movie. After the movie, we walked back to ISH to eat supper in the bar because the cafeteria closes at 7. Almost everyone from our group was in there eating. It's so nice that at the end of the day, you can just like walk past the ISH bar and part of our group will be hanging out in there. It's nice to see familiar faces and catch up with the people you don't hangout with or see everyday. After eating and talking, Brittany, Jeni and I walked back to mine and Brittany's room and now we're just chilling. Jeni rented the movie Pitch Perfect off of iTunes and we were going to watch that tonight, but its taking forever to load so we decided we'd watch it tomorrow night.  Tomorrow we're getting up early and a group of us are going over to the Tower of London and Big Ben.  I'm not sure what to expect, but I can't wait. Sundays are our homework days, so we don't plan much on those days besides eating meals at ISH. It's nice to just relax and do nothing. Yesterday that's what I did all day. I watched 7 episodes of One Tree Hill's season 8.
