Last night a couple of my friends and I went to a We the Kings concert at the venue called Scala here in London. The venue was smaller than what I thought it would be. The only concerts I had been to before last night were REO Speedwagon at the county fair, and The Tossers on St. Patrick's Day a couple years ago when my cousin's band at the time opened for them. The band was really good live. I was surprised at how good they sounded live, especially since the lead singer told us that he was losing his voice. He did pretty darn good considering I couldn't really tell the difference in his voice. The concert was fun, except some obvious teenage-looking boys who decided to start a mosh pit right next to where I was standing. I moved away from it and it was much better not having some sweaty disgusting boy get pushed and shoved into me.
Went to the Charles Dickens Museum with class and here is his signature
I think my teacher said this was one of the classiest pubs in London

ReplyDeletePicture number 8...that is the HMS Belfast light cruiser!! She served thoughout WWII and the Korean Conflict. It was almost scrapped in the mid 1960's. Did you know it was built by the same company that built the Titanic?? Now you know!!! (Harland and Wolff) I wanted really bad to go on board her. But the rest of my traveling party were not as excited about it as I was...soooo sad...I guess they just didn't appreciate the finer things in life like I do!
What a cool pub!! It looks more like a church or theater inside. Did they have a smoking room? Lots of classy pubs have areas for cigar smokers. Did the teacher buy the class a beer??
Great shots of Abby Road too...I can still picture that album cover.
I hope you get a chance to visit the Imperial War Museum!! Lots of very cool machines in there...I know I would enjoy some pictures from there!! HINT HINT
Keep up your excellent Blog! It is always a treat to see the pictures and hear about your experiences...your thoughts! It's a big world out there...you have only touched the surface! But you are doing great!
